Affiliation Suspended — MTTA Fully Operational
It is important to clarify for the public that the MTTA is an autonomous voluntary association governed by its own statute and elected members.
The Association is not a subsidiary or department of the Maltese Olympic Committee. Its relationship with the MOC is one of affiliation, as is the case with other sporting federations.
When the MOC refers to the “suspension” of the MTTA, what is suspended is the affiliation between the two entities. The MTTA itself has not been dissolved, removed, or legally incapacitated.
The Association continues to operate normally in accordance with its statute. League competitions, ranking tournaments, national championships, youth participation, and administrative functions continue uninterrupted. Governance decisions are taken by the elected Executive Council in line with the Association’s rules.
