Dear Members
Thank you to everyone who attended the Extraordinary General Meeting held on Monday, 15 September 2025.
I am pleased to inform you that, in line with the MTTA Statute and following the vote of no confidence passed on the former President and vice-President, on the 26 June 2025 during an EGM, the Association has now successfully appointed a new Executive Council.
During the meeting Robert Mizzi and Fabian Fenech have unanimously been approved by vote of acclamation as President and Vice-President respectively.
The MTTA Executive Council is now composed as follows:
- President: Dr. Robert Mizzi
- Vice-President: Mr. Fabian Fenech
- Secretary General: Cleaven-Ray Mizzi
- Treasurer: Ryan Tabone
- Competitions Officer: Jesmond Xuereb
- Non-Voting Honorary Member: Noel Schembri
The MTTA reaffirms its commitment to:
- Providing strong and stable leadership for Maltese table tennis
- Continuing to improve sports governance and accountability
- Prioritising the growth and development of athletes at all levels
- Ensuring transparency and fairness with all clubs and members
- Strengthening ties with national and international bodies, including the Malta Olympic Committee (MOC), SportMalta, AIMS, the Office of the Commissioner for Voluntary Organisations, the European Table Tennis Union, and the International Table Tennis Federation
The Association thanks all members who participated in this important milestone for the future of Table Tennis in Malta.
